Maya Angelou once said, "I come as one, but I stand as ten thousand." I carry this quote with me into everything I do and I interpret it's meaning to be, "for every injustice I have experienced, there are thousands of others who have yet to heal from the injustices they have faced." For this reason, I will provide comprehensive, confidential services for individuals, families, and groups and aid them in acquiring emotional and psychological freedom.
I have experience working with a variety of populations. I have practiced in the areas of school social work, intensive outpatient services for individuals recovering from substance use, and juvenile justice. I have also committed an extensive amount of my career to practicing and uncovering ways to meet people where they are with their trauma so that we can work together to overcome it. I am passionate about creating a nonjudgmental, brave space where clients can “take off their mask” and truly lean into their authentic selves. We will collaborate to identify your goals and make a plan to reach them. Sessions will be tailored to your individual needs and counseling journey.
